On Saturday, October 1, 2016, the Hopkinton Lions partnered with Price Chopper Supermarket for a Grocery Dash. Two (2) winners had 4 minutes to gather as many groceries as they could in shopping carts. All qualifying items in the shopping carts were considered winnings.
The two winners, Trish Miller and Eric Tetschner, collected enough groceries to fill up 3 carts between them. Trish Miller, the TLC Executive Director, graciously decided to "donate" the dash run to a dedicated TLC teacher who is currently fighting stage 4 cancer. Her nephew, Jim Ryan, ran in Trish's place.
We would especially like to thank Price Chopper, the winners and all the Grocery Dash ticket buyers for their support of the Hopkinton Lions Club along with the local charitable organizations that we support.
